Our Team

Hutton Cobb, Managing Principal-  has over 18 years of financial service experience.  Hutton Cobb is Managing Principal of Cobb Financial Strategies, Inc. an open architecture financial services practice.  He holds series 9, 10, 7, 63, 65 and 31 security registrations.  He also holds his Life, Disability and Long Term Care insurance licenses.  Before establishing Cobb Financial Strategies, Inc. Hutton worked as an agent with Northwestern Mutual Life as a life and disability specialist dealing with corporate executives, professionals and the self employed.  From there he went to work for Wachovia Securities, LLC as a broker.  It was at Wachovia Securities he learned about alternative investments and how they fit in a high net worth portfolio.  After 7 years he moved the UBS Financial Services where he became the Manager.  He managed five other brokers and a staff of 4 while having around 120 personal clients.  In March 2007 he opened Cobb Financial Strategies, Inc.  His goal is to provide world class service for his busy clients therefore he has limited the number of clients he will work with.  This allows his team to be very proactive and efficient.  Finally, this gives the team the time it takes to study and understand current investment products and markets which have become more complex over time.   

Hutton has been in Greenville his entire life.  He is happily married to Tara and has 5 children (Mason, Caton, Emmey, Chloe and Sullivan).  He is a proactive contributor to many local charities.  Hutton is a member of the Cambridge Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.  His hobbies include boating, soccer, skiing and reading. 

Katherine B. Thomas, Operations Manager for Cobb Financial Strategies, has been working in the financial services industry for nine years.  Her background in banking and customer service has allowed her to perform daily operations and assist the financial advisors.  She enjoys working with people and is committed to providing first class service.

Katherine and her husband Justin, both from Greenville, NC, had their first child, Hunter, in May 2008. Katherine enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
