Our Team

Hutton Cobb, Managing Principal-  has over 20 years of financial service experience.  Hutton Cobb is Managing Principal of Cobb Financial Strategies, Inc. an open architecture financial strategies practice.  He holds series 9, 10, 7, 63, 65 and 31 security registrations through LPL Financial.  He also holds his Life, Disability and Long Term Care insurance licenses.  Before establishing Cobb Financial Strategies, Inc. Hutton worked as an agent with Northwestern Mutual Life as a life and disability specialist dealing with corporate executives, professionals and the self employed.  From there he went to work for Wachovia Securities, LLC as a broker.  After 7 years he moved the UBS Financial Services where he became the Manager.  He managed five other brokers and a staff of 4 while having around 120 personal clients.  In March 2007 he opened Cobb Financial Strategies, Inc.  Hutton has limited the number of clients he has to be able to provide outstanding service.  This allows his team to be very proactive and efficient.  Finally, this gives him the time it takes to study and understand current investment products and markets which have become more complex over time.   

Hutton has been in Greenville his entire life.  He is married to Marty and has 5 children and 2 step children  (Mason, Caton, Emmey, Chloe, Sullivan, Reagan and Wade).  He is a proactive contributor to many local charities.  His hobbies include boating, soccer, skiing and reading. 

Tara Cobb (Client Services Associate)- Tara's background is very broad. She grew up in Greenville and moved to Raleigh after high school.  Her most recent job was as owner and producer of a mortgage company in Raleigh, Morehead NC and Rock Hill SC. She got out of this business in 2006 and moved back to Greenville late 2006.  She has a very detailed skill set when dealing with people and her work. Her roll for the team is mainly service and support. She manages all paperwork and Hutton's schedule.  

She is married to Hutton Cobb and has 2 children with him (Chloe and Sullivan).  She is an avid reader and enjoys cooking, scrapbooking, making home made cards, travel and being with her family.
